What Colour Is For Throat Cancer

delayed responses - The Redeemer

Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people: "You are witnesses today that I gained from the hand of Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech ... and I also acquired Ruth the Moabite woman, the wife of Mahlon, to keep the name of the deceased on his inheritance ... "(Ruth 4:9-10)

Under Jewish law, if a man married died before having children, the brother of the man was forced to marry his wife. They gave their first born children of deceased brother's name so that the legacy will remain in Israel.

Boaz - a relative of Elimelech - bought the field because he was in love with Ruth. He bought the field in order to obtain a wife he loved.

JESUS SAID "THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS LIKE A TREASURE HIDDEN IN A FIELD. THE MAN WHO HAS FOUND THE COVER OF NEW, AND IN HIS JOY, IT WILL SELL EVERYTHING HE BUYS AND FIELD "(Matthew 13:44).

The field in this parable is the world, and Jesus is the One who gave everything to buy the world. Who is the treasure? Incredible as it may seem, the treasure is you and me - we who put our trust in Him as our Lord and Savior. We are the bride of Christ. Just as Boaz was willing to pay the field for the bride, so Jesus, voluntarily paid the price of redemption to buy the world. It did it because He loved you and wanted you belong to him.
__________

Thank you, Lord, that You grant us such a value that you're voluntarily given to redeem us from captivity and slavery of sin so that we can become Your wife.
Amen.
