Departure Times Pier Head,liverpool

February 25 - No Mercy

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: "I want to speak against Amalek for what he did to Israel when he put on his way to his departure from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and vow to prohibit anything that belongs to him. "(1 Samuel 15:2-3)

The Amalekites were probably the most violent people, the vilest that ever existed on the surface of the earth. In the interest of humanity, God ordered the extermination of these people and chose the children of Israel to be the instrument of His judgments.

In the story of Esther, we hear of Haman, the The man who had plotted the destruction of the Jews. Amalekite Haman was a descendant of King Agag, Saul had left to live. God told Saul to "utterly destroy" the Amalekites but Saul had not obeyed. And for this reason, Amalek came back and destroyed almost all of Israel.

The Bible says that the flesh made war on the Spirit and the Spirit brings the war to the flesh. Amalek as trying to attack Israel with its weak point, your flesh will be contested at this weak point. This is a battle for supremacy.

GOD HAS DECIDED THAT OUR FLESH MUST BE PUT TO DEATH.

While we want to reform it, God said no. His decree for your flesh is completely destroyed.

Which one will dominate your life? You give way to the Spirit or the flesh? Taste you communion with God or will you have pity for your flesh and you become a slave and its appetites, you distancing yourself from God? Choose wisely.
__________

Father, strengthen us by Your Spirit so that we may live in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit and have the thoughts of the Spirit is life and peace and joy .
Amen.
